The Challenge
Cymbiotika UK, a division of the rapidly growing US-based Cymbiotika, approached ninetyfive in November 2023 with a significant challenge. Despite being part of a globally recognised brand with a $50M+ turnover, their UK presence had hit a growth plateau, with little to no social media footprint and flatlining sales. The mission was clear: build a robust UK brand presence, drive customer acquisition, and implement sustainable growth strategies.

Overcoming Barriers
- With a premium price point, impulse purchases were unlikely. The strategy required a strong foundation of trust, authority, and brand recognition before scaling customer acquisition.
- Without established social channels, Cymbiotika UK had no D2C online engagement, no organic brand advocacy, and no platforms to support paid media efforts.
- Despite having a strong product offering, monthly sales had remained steady without signs of increasing, signaling the need for a new approach.
- The backend infrastructure needed optimisation to enhance retention strategies, e-marketing workflows, and customer lifecycle management and optimisation.


Our Process
Content Strategy & Distribution
We developed a content plan that aligned with Cymbiotika’s brand ethos, educating and engaging potential customers about the benefits of their products. Leveraged influencer collaborations and UGC (user-generated content) to establish credibility, relateability & authenticity.
Paid Media & Performance Marketing
We started with a conservative ad spend to establish baseline data on creative, audience, and messaging effectiveness. Following RFT (Rapid Fire Testing), we gradually scaled the budget, optimising for conversions while ensuring sustainable growth and efficiency. Consistent optimisation surrounding ad creative and audience segmentation to ensure the highest ROI. Integrated RTG strategies to nurture awareness campaigns and incentivise new customer acquisition.
Backend Auditing & Automation
Implemented automated email workflows to improve retention, including abandoned cart recovery, new customer welcome sequences, and post-purchase engagement. Set up advanced tracking and analytics to refine campaign performance and improve efficiency.
Website Development Support
Assisted with the design and development of their Shopify ecommerce platform, inclusive of new product pages, plugin implementation and product segregation.
